Sweet Dreams
Completed by: Phoenix WIng, Fleo, trinity, Ariel
After meeting a young woman with extreme mood swings during a training mishap, Fleo and Trinity enlisted Ariel's help in helping to return the memory of the woman, Annalise. After being attacked by Annalise during an unfortunate personality on the train, the quartet arrived in Onibus Town, where the alleged memory thief was hiding. During an inquisition into the local Bang Bang bar, Trinity unearthed a man whose son had been kidnapped, and Annalise vanished. The remaining wizards then searched the Onibus University, and after finding an anomaly in the men's locker room, solved a series of puzzling magical barriers to find an entire roomful of kidnapped people sound asleep. There they found Annalise in the corner, over a woman who seemed to be her mother. Before they could investigate, they were challenged by the project head Sagan and his partner Angel. Angel proved a tough nut to crack for Ariel and Trinity but was taken down after Fleo resorted to using Dust Devil to take down Sagan, whose shields were constantly being refreshed. Afterward, the ladies discovered the truth about Annalise: that her body had died while her mind was trapped in a dream, and that her dream had merged with the real world. They set her free by removing a lacrima shard embedded into her body, and then bound her spirit to a hat. Afterward, Annalise was revived in dream form, without the crippling mood swings, by the Spirit wizard Amelia.
More than a Feeling
Completed by: Frenzy Plant Gabriel, thor, Eliza
- Gabriel, Thor, and Eliza were launched via guild cannons to Clover Town, where they embarked on a southward boat to Akane Resort. Upon arrival, they traipsed through a seemingly haunted fairground, hounding by an invisible and sadistic cackling spirit at every turn who exhibited the ability of 'sea decay'. After tracing the source to a lighthouse, the group beheld a theme park filled with skeletons, and an eerie ghost ship on the resort's edge. The spirit revealed itself to be Proteus the Hanged Man, a rampant Mystic Beast in control of his own card, and after battling Thor and Gabriel's Spirits, Proteus was forced into a corner thanks to Eliza's quick thinking, and forced to retreat -and take his curses with him- to preserve his life.
HELP! DRAGON! JOB
Completed by: Phoenix Wing, Karn, Damian, Zero/Zenoram, Mitheria
After meeting up with Karn and other mages from the guild at the site of a bit of a disturbance regarding what seemed to be a god slayer, Zenoram and Zero were made aware of a particular Job Karn had found. Immediately after they went, with Karn and Mithera, who had joined them, to the guild so they could become official members and take the job. Upon becoming members though Damian came over and took the job flyer. He informed them that it was an S-Class job and they could not go without an S-Class mage. Thus, much to Zero’s dismay Damian would come along.
The ride to Mt. Hakobe, the job’s location was a long one, which allowed Zero and Zenoram to discover their weakness as a Dragon Slayer. One stop was made, in which a heated discussion took place between Zero and Damian along with Karn. Not long after Karn would go to find Mithera and Melina after smelling a large amount of blood and thinking there was trouble. It was a misunderstanding and as the group rejoined each other, they were off again.
Soon they arrived at a village near the base of the mountain. It was complete chaos apparently under attack by a group of dark mages, or perhaps former rune knights. Their true identities were never obtained by the group. One, a man named Acheon who had some form of disease magic, seemed to be acting of his own accord, even helping villagers with a smaller group of underlings. Up the mountain the rest of the group, including the other four ring leaders were going about their plan. Two were attempting to take control of the dragon Hemlock, Zenoram and Zero’s adoptive father. The rest began their descent down the mountain to meet with the Phoenix Wing mages who’d entered battle with the enemy forces.
It wasn’t long before each member found an opponent, taking care of the lesser mages easily, Damain against a girl named Maki, Karn against Acheon, Melina staring down a winged mage by the name of Uriel and Zero heading up the mountain. Damian seemed to be making quick work of Maki and who had done most of the work taking out her own henchmen, while Uriel lackadaisically conversed with Acheon as Acheon fought with Karn. However, everything came to a halt as Zero came plummeting down the mountain. This was a sign. Hemlock had been taken over by the two mages, Varen and Haemos.
In control of the dragon, the two began their attack. Zero and Karn left Acheon to Melina and followed Uriel who was traveling back to the mountain. As the battle heated up, Damian took it upon himself to dispatch Maki and kill Uriel. He then went on to slay Varen, who’d caused Karn to lose control of himself, the Chimera taking over after an incident regarding Varen’s water magic. Still, the big problem was Hemlock who would begint o rampage at Haemos command. Already hurt and unable to break the control Zenoram and Zero decided that the only way would be to take down Hemlock. Thus, Zero combined his Dragon Slayer magic with Damian’s magic and the Chimera’s magic. The three were able to stop Hemlock, but he was surely going to die.
It took but a moment for Zero to catch Haemos trying to escape. He knocked the mage out, choosing to avoid the more vengeful path and more death that day. Hemlock commended the choice as he got to his feet and began to lead the group up the mountain. He spoke to each of them. Karn, who he gave the ability to turn into Hemlock, then Damian, who he gave a fang to be made into a sword, and then Mithera and Melina who had joined the group. Melina received nothing from the dragon, but he gave Mithera a necklace made with his scales and one of his claws as the center. Finally, there was Zero and then Zenoram. The heart felt conversations and goodbye would then lead to the end of the job as Hemlock disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Zero and Zenoram with a jacket made from his own scales. Thus, the group would return to Phoenix Wing's guild hall, with the exception of Melina, who left Fiore, hurt both physically and mentally.
